“There is only one way to see things, until someone shows us how to look at them with different eyes.” ~ Pablo Picasso
I consider myself very fortunate to have worked over the years with amazing actors and teachers and I enjoy sharing this knowledge, and expertise with others whether as an Acting Coach, Teacher, Verse Nurse, Director, Voice-Over Artist or Storyteller.
I work with students of all ages and backgrounds and with all types of written material, utilizing a toolbox of physical, vocal, and theatrical explorations to unlock the power of language, all the while encouraging artists to bring joy Into their work – work that is grounded in the truth of the moment and in communion with an audience. I believe my job is to be a facilitator between a playwright’s words and the actors’ imaginations; a transformer helping actors to hold up humanity’s mirror.

Folks Talking about April
“April Feld Sandor is uniquely talented, with a generous personality and strength of character that inspires actors to move forward in their life and in their work as artists.
~Mary McCann, Alexander Technique Instructor
“April was a Teaching Artist with Philly Senior Stage. She stepped in to take over the artistic direction of theatre groups comprised of senior adult residents in retirement communities. April brought her passion for the performing arts and deep level of compassion for the stories, lives and limitations of her charges. April knows theatre. Moreover, she knows how to quickly identify the learning needs of her students and teaches them what they need to learn. April has a great sense of humor and is quick to flip any adverse situation around and before we know it, we’re laughing at whatever it was that ailed us thirty seconds earlier. Anyone who gets to have April direct or teach them – are lucky bastards!”
~Robb Hutter, Artistic Director, Phllly Senior Stage
